Vision Statement

At our school, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children and adults thrive when they feel safe, valued and understood.

We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging. Through positive relationships, consistency and care, we support our pupils to develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning.

We recognise the importance of emotional physical and mental health and we actively promote wellbeing for our whole school community. Wellbeing is not an add-on – it is woven into our culture, our teaching and our everyday interactions. We take a proactive and preventative response, ensuring early support is in place so that every child can flourish.

Wellbeing Principles:

  • We create a safe, calm and inclusive environment where every child feels a sense of belonging.
  • We prioritise positive, respectful relationships, recognising that connection is key to wellbeing and learning.
  • We actively support children to develop emotional literacy, helping them understand and manage their feelings.
  • We promote resilience and confidence, encouraging children to take risks, learn from mistakes and keep trying.
  • We recognise and respond to individual needs, ensuring early support and intervention where needed.
  • We value consistency and clear boundaries, creating security and trust for all pupils.
  • We promote physical health and active lifestyles as part of overall wellbeing.
  • We support the wellbeing of staff, knowing that a cared-for team creates a thriving school community.
  •  We work in partnership with families and the wider community to support every child holistically.
  • We ensure wellbeing is embedded in daily practice, not treated as a stand-alone initiative.
