At Spon Gate Primary School, we take safeguarding and child protection extremely seriously.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Wingrove. The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Miss Burns. If you have any concerns about a pupil at our school, please speak to Mr Wingrove, Miss Burns, Miss Adkins or Mrs Rouse.
All members of staff have a duty to respond to any safeguarding or child protection concerns. Where possible, parents will be informed of any concern. However, there may be circumstances where school staff need to contact other agencies, including Social Care, without first notifying parents. This is a legal obligation.
