The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding allocated to schools. The funding is provided to children from low income families, armed forces families and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium Grant as they see fit, so long as the funding is is used to support children from low income families and other target groups. At Spon Gate we want to narrow the gap in attainment between children attracting Pupil Premium funding and those children from more privileged backgrounds. We want all children to achieve their personal best academically and socially, and to be able to access a wide range of experiences and opportunities.
