At Spon Gate Primary School we support all children to achieve their personal best. If your child needs additional support at school, or if you are worried about your child’s development, we will work together to plan appropriate support for you and your child.

The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) is Mrs Bhamra. Her job is to make sure that children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) get the support they need. This might include other agencies, for example Educational Psychologists or Speech and Language Therapists, coming into school to help your child.
If you would like any further information about SEN or would like to speak to Mrs Bhamra, this can be organised through the school office or contact [email protected]

Our SEND Offer
At Spon Gate Primary School we are proud to be an inclusive school where every child is valued and supported. We work closely with children, families and professionals to ensure that pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are identified promptly and are well supported to be able to thrive.
Our SEND Information Report explains how we identify and support children with additional needs, the provision available in school and how we work in partnership with parents to review progress. It also links to the Local Authority’s SEND Offer (link below), which provides further information about support and services available locally.
